Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains which cookies you may meet on the CMR Relocation website and how to control them. Last updated 10 October 2026.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some sites also use similar tools, such as local storage. This page explains what our site does and what other companies' content on it may do.
Cookies Set By The CMR Relocation Website
Our own website sets no cookies. It uses your browser's own storage for a few small jobs, all for things you ask for: remembering whether you accepted the live Google map (cmr-consent); keeping the list you make in our volume calculator, and any photos you add to it, on your device until you send it with the quote form or press Clear (cmr-volume, and a photo store called cmr-volume); remembering that you closed the "use it as an app" card (cmr-app-card); and keeping an offline copy of the calculator and quote pages so the app works without signal. None of it is used to track you, and none of it is sent to us unless you send the quote form.
In plain terms:
- We do not use Google Analytics or any other tracking or statistics tool.
- We do not run adverts or use advertising pixels.
- Our fonts are stored on our own server, so no font service sees your visit.
- Our quote form does not set a cookie. It sends your details to us by email, as our privacy policy explains.
Because of this, the only thing we ask you about is the Google map below.
Google Maps Cookies In Our Footer
The footer of every page shows a picture of the map around our depot in Broadheath, Altrincham. The picture is stored on our own server and sets no cookies. A small bar asks whether you would like the live Google map instead. The live map is an embedded Google service, not part of our own site, and it only loads if you choose Accept Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies in your browser on google.com. If you choose No thanks, or make no choice, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Google controls these cookies, not us. Google's list of cookies includes NID, which remembers your preferences. If you are signed in to a Google account, Google may also use its sign-in cookies, such as SID and HSID. Google can change its cookies at any time. For the full and current list, see how Google uses cookies and Google's privacy policy.
Table Of Cookies You May Meet On This Site
This table lists the cookies you may meet here. The lifetimes come from Google's published list and may change.

Which Google cookies appear depends on your browser, your Google account and the choices you have made with Google. You may see fewer than this, or different names.
Trustpilot And Other Outside Links
Our pages link to our reviews on Trustpilot and to our Facebook page. A plain link sets no cookies. Cookies from those sites only apply if you click through to them.
How To Block Or Delete Cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings. You can:
- block third-party cookies, which stops the Google map setting cookies while you are on our site;
- delete cookies already stored in your browser;
- use a private or incognito window, which clears cookies when you close it.
If you block cookies or choose No thanks, you see the map picture instead of the live map. Everything else on our site works the same, including the quote form. You can still find us at Unit B1, Stuart Road, Broadheath, Altrincham WA14 5GJ, or call 0161 478 3639. The ICO's guide to cookies has more help.
Changes To This Cookie Policy
We will update this page if we add anything that sets cookies, and change the date at the top. If you have a question, email Darrin or use our contact page. Please also read our website terms of use.
