Removals Across Greater Manchester And Cheshire
We carry out removals across Greater Manchester and Cheshire from our depot in Altrincham. Pick a town on the map to compare house prices and schools, then open its own moving page.
Where we work
From Broadheath To Every Greater Manchester Borough
Our depot is on Stuart Road in Broadheath, on the north side of Altrincham. From there, our crew covers all ten Greater Manchester boroughs: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. We also cover the Cheshire towns to the south.
Most of our work is close to home. Sale, Hale, Altrincham, Bramhall and Alderley Edge are the places we move people most often. The roads there are the ones our drivers know best, from the busy A56 to quiet lanes where a lorry needs careful parking.
The map below shows 44 towns. Each one has its own page, written for that town, with advice on local roads, parking and the kind of homes you find there.

Local knowledge
Why Local Knowledge Matters On Moving Day
A removal lorry is a big vehicle. Where it can stop, and for how long, can make a move quick or slow. That changes from street to street.
Each of the ten councils has its own rules for suspending parking bays. Some town centres have loading limits. Some terraced streets are too narrow for a lorry to pass parked cars. In the Cheshire towns, long drives and country lanes bring their own problems.
When we plan your move, we look at both addresses before the day. If a lorry cannot get close, we plan for a smaller van to shuttle, or for a longer carry. You will know the plan before we arrive.
- Both addresses checked for access and parking before moving day
- Parking rules talked through with you where a street needs it
- The right vehicle for the road, from our own vans and lorries

FAQs
Questions About The Towns And Boroughs We Cover
If your town is not on the map, ask anyway. Call 0161 478 3639.
Do you cover my town if it is not on the map?
Very likely. The map shows the towns we work in most, but we move people all over the North West and further. Moves to France, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands are part of our work too. Call us or send the quote form with both addresses.
Does it cost more to move further from Altrincham?
Distance is one of the things that shapes a price, along with the size of the move, access and the time it takes. We price every move on its own, and the quote is free, so the easiest way to find out is to ask.
Who sorts out parking for the removal lorry?
We talk it through with you when we plan the move. Each council has its own rules for suspending parking bays, and some streets need a permit or a quiet time of day. We will tell you if your street needs anything arranged.
Where does the house price and school data on the map come from?
From official sources: the UK House Price Index for prices, Department for Education results for schools and police data for crime. The source for each one is shown under the map. Commute times and green space are a general guide.
